Regular Tuition
At Just Good Science, Dr Sarah Crick offers weekly, hour-long, term-time, private tuition sessions to learners in:
- GCSE/IGCSE Physics
- GCSE/IGCSE Chemistry
- GCSE/IGCSE Biology
- GCSE/IGCSE Science
- GCSE Astronomy
- A-level Physics
Her specialism is in Physics and Astronomy but is passionate about and experienced in teaching all qualifications offered.
Personal Tuition
The primary focus of all Sarah’s tuition sessions is to provide a clear explanation of the material, highlighting the scientific principles and importance both in life and in the context of exams. When a learner starts tuition with Sarah, she will find the most effective learning pace and will always guarantee space for the learner to have their questions answered. Once strong content foundations are made in topics, we will then polish written explanations and multi-stage calculations to the expectations of their particular examination board. Sarah has experience with AQA, Edexcel, OCR, Eduqas and WJEC and is particularly skilled at helping learners with their confidence.
Sarah can only offer online sessions due to time constraints. All sessions are conducted on zoom, with a mixture of slide presentations, practice question sets and whiteboard teaching. The learning style will be adjusted to the direct needs of each pupil. Students are able to request the topic that they’d like to go over at the start of each lesson so Sarah can be very flexible to cover the immediate needs of her students.
Holiday Tuition
Sarah has some availability for tuition in the school holidays. She offers one-off sessions for students stuck on a particular topic or that want to improve their exam technique or a block of sessions for larger topics or more than one topic. Sarah is able to offer sessions on exam technique.
Overall Rating
Sarah was very helpful in my preparation for my GCSEs. She has lots of knowledge, very supportive and helped me go from a 5:4 to a 7:6 in combined science within a very short time span! Highly recommend!
