Just Good Science Ltd
UK Registered Company No. 14098852
Policy last updated: 15 May 2026
This policy sets out your rights when purchasing from Just Good Science Ltd, and how we handle cancellations, returns and refunds. Your statutory rights under UK consumer law are not affected by anything in this policy.
1. Event Tickets
Your right to cancel
When you purchase event tickets online, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. However, this 14-day cooling-off right does not apply to tickets for events on a specific date, as permitted under Regulation 28(1)(h) of those Regulations. By completing your ticket purchase, you acknowledge and agree to the cancellation terms below instead.
Our cancellation tiers
| Time of cancellation before the event | Refund |
|---|---|
| More than 7 days before | Full refund |
| 2 to 7 days before | 50% refund |
| Less than 48 hours before | No refund |
To request a cancellation, please email [email protected] with your booking reference and original receipt. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of us confirming your cancellation.
If we cancel or reschedule
If your presenter is unavailable or we are required to cancel an event for any reason, we will contact you as soon as possible and offer either:
- a rescheduled date at a time convenient to both parties, or
- a full refund if rescheduling is not possible or not acceptable to you.
This applies regardless of how close to the event the cancellation occurs.
Bundled items (book included with ticket)
Where a physical item such as a book is included with your ticket, it forms part of the overall booking. If you receive a full refund due to event cancellation by us, no return of the physical item is required. If you cancel your own booking and are entitled to a partial or full refund under the tiers above, the physical item must be returned in its original condition and packaging before the refund is processed (see Section 3 below for return instructions).
2. Physical Products
Your right to cancel (online purchases)
When you buy a physical product from us online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the item, without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. You then have a further 14 days to return the item to us.
To cancel, please notify us by email at [email protected] before the 14-day period expires.
Your right to a refund for faulty or misdescribed goods
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if your item is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, you are entitled to:
- a full refund within 30 days of purchase, or
- a repair or replacement after 30 days (with a refund available if repair or replacement is not possible or not carried out within a reasonable time).
Please contact us as soon as possible if you receive a faulty or incorrect item.
Items not eligible for return
We cannot accept returns of:
- items that have been personalised or made to order
- items that have been clearly used or are not in a resaleable condition
- items where the original packaging has been removed and the item cannot be resealed (for hygiene or quality reasons)
3. How to Return an Item
- Email [email protected] with your name, order reference and reason for return.
- We will confirm the return address and any relevant instructions within 3 business days.
- Please package the item securely. We recommend using a tracked delivery service, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.
- Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process your refund within 14 days.
Who pays for return postage?
- If the item is faulty or we made an error, we will cover reasonable return postage costs.
- If you are returning an item under the 14-day cooling-off right (change of mind), return postage is your responsibility.
4. Refund Processing
All refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless otherwise agreed. Please allow up to 14 days from the date we confirm your refund for funds to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.
5. Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under:
- the Consumer Rights Act 2015
- the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013
