Science in the community
SCIENCE THAT MAKES AN IMPACT
The Just Good Science term is incredibly charismatic; we make science really engaging and fun! We love taking our work out into the public sector and providing enjoyable science activities. Science exhibitions and fairs are a buzzing environment in which we thrive. We always have a crowd at our stall and provide unique activities that keep visitors entertained.
WHAT WE OFFER
If you think that we would be a good fit for your event, expo, show or fair, please send us a message!

GROUP MOSAIC ACTIVITY
Since we began working with Mosaikit, we have offered a group craft activity at our stalls at every event we have done. And at every event, it has been an instant success. We have made giant mosaic meteors, planets and moons, and that list is growing every month! It is a great way of bringing people to the stall to chat about science and for them to be a part of something that they can see grow over the day. We often have people popping back to the stall to see the progress and be proud of what they have been a part of.

MOSAIC WORKSHOPS
We offer a mosaic workshop which is suitable for ages 3+ where participants make their own personal mosaic (either a rocket, planet, moon or meteor) and take these home with them to remember the experience. Our mosaics have been tried and tested in school and community environments and have been a hit with children everywhere we’ve done the activity. We have noticed that they have been effective for children with special educational needs, offering a way for them to engage with science in a creative way.

ASTRONOMY TALKS
Dr Sarah Crick is an experienced, enthusiastic and entertaining speaker. She regularly wows audiences of all ages with mind-opening talks. Sarah is an astronomer, author and teacher and has a particular talent in helping younger audiences connect with science in a way that makes them laugh as well as grounds them in the real potential and opportunity for discovery. Her talks are aspirational without being out of reach; she educates in a way that leaves people wanting more and feeling optimistic about the future.
